Technical information

• Drying time: 2-3 hours
• Can cover an area of up to 12 sq m/copy/liter.
• Apply 2-3 coats of topcoat (deeper shades may require more coats).
• Applying equipment: brush/roller/spray
• Mixing before use: Can be used immediately. Or if you want to mix, add 1 part clean water to 10 parts color (10%).

Surface preparation

• new cement surface
  • Leave the plaster surface completely dry for at least 1 month after plastering with a moisture content not exceeding 14%.
  • Old, deteriorated cement surface or fiber cement synthetic wood.
  • The original, deteriorated paint should be scrubbed off completely. Areas with mold or algae should be scrubbed and washed with clean water. Leave it to dry and then apply it with Dulux Weathershield Mold Wash to eliminate and inhibit mold and algae by leaving it overnight.
  • Scrub, rinse thoroughly with water and leave to dry completely. Before each painting, the surface must be dry and clean. Free from dust, cement scraps and various impurities.
  • If there is a crack no more than 1 mm wide, repair it with Dulux Acrylic Filler Putty 1040 and sand to make it smooth. If you want to add smoothness to the surface or repair problematic concrete surfaces, plaster the entire wall with smooth plaster. Then polish and decorate the wall to make it smooth. And make sure the walls have no water leaks. To prevent the paint film from blistering later.

Primer painting

• new cement surface
  • Apply 1 coat of Dulux Primer Shield acrylic primer. Leave it to dry for at least 2 hours before painting the top coat.
• Old cement surface or fiber cement synthetic wood
  • Apply 1 coat of water-based old cement primer, Dulux Eco Primer, and leave it to dry for at least 2 hours.
  • In the case where the old cement surface is deteriorated chalk dust Apply 1 coat of Dulux Macheal oil-based primer to strengthen the adhesion of old cement. Leave it to dry for at least 10-12 hours before painting the topcoat.
  • New cement surfaces and old cement surfaces with a maximum humidity of 40%
  • Paint multi-purpose cement primer Dulux Weathershield Power Plus Primer. Available in both water-based formulas and light scents. And oil formula for surfaces that deteriorate into dust. Apply 1 coat and let it dry for at least 2-4 hours before painting the top coat.
• Surfaces plastered with skim coat products
  • Apply liquid foundation to old cement. To enhance adhesion of the Dulux Macheal oil formula, apply 1 coat and leave it to dry for at least 10-12 hours before applying the top coat.

Topcoat

• Topcoat with Dulux Inspire paint for exterior use. (semi-gloss or matte) at least 2 coats, leaving a distance of at least 2 hours between the first coat of paint and the next coat.

Additional recommendations

• Surfaces that should not be used include steel, roofs, and floors.
